Big John is a hiking enthusiast of the first order. Nothing does his heart better than to take overnight hiking trips in the mountains near his home, sleeping under the stars and all that.Once he went to a favorite campsite, hiking uphill and downhill and even on level ground, too. He spent the night and returned the following day by the same route.
He walked at 2 mi/hr when going uphill, 6 mi/hr when going downhill, and 3 mi/hr on the level ground.
